Save Frequent Save Often

Here are a few tips to make saving your file easier.

Use your Keyboard Shortcuts

CTRL+S is most applications will save the currently active file. If you have NOT saved your file, it will typically bring up the SAVE dialog box prompting you to give the file a name and location.

It is always a good idea to do this often but make sure if you have started a new document, it is critical to save the first time or else nothing gets saved more times than not.

Save a copy to be used before revising

Using the Save As feature and giving your file a new name before you start your editing can be handy. It will help prevent the possibility that you overwrite your original file without a back-up to return the previous version.

Word 2007

Did you know that Word 2007 no longer supports the Versions feature found in previous installs. If you had your Word 2003 document saved with multiple versions active in the file, you will NOT be able to get those versions without a previous release of Microsoft Word.
